What I would ultimately like to achieve is a hairstyle like this:

I want to have it done permanetly, as in, I don't want to get up an hour early every morning to curl my hair, and then have it go flat by afternoon. Is it possible to create this look with a perm, partial perm, something else? Help!

Ermm, a perm might help, but I don't think it would last. Once you took a shower, it would probably go flat, sorry but unless you hairs natrally like that there no way to make that permenant. I sugest just useing ti on special occasions. Sorry I can't help more.

i would get a perm if i were you. but dont get one with tight curls...just tell them you want to achieve a look with lose curls.

that's a big decision... perming your hair makes it really curly and frizzy like and it is really hard to starighten it

I think that style would be very good for you. But the thing is that you will need to see what color skin because each color will look different with the style and each person looks different in that hair style. Also what your hair color is or is going to be dyed.

You could bring the pic into a good hairdresser and I'm sure that they could do it with a perm. The only thing is that perms damage your hair a LOT so expect breakage, etc. and we all want what we can't have, so don't be suprised if you suddenly want your straight hair back. Just a suggestion.
