Blonde to dark brown?

I have natural dark blonde hair and i want to go dark brown. I have pail skin and pink complexion. i read in seventeen magazine that you should dye your hair red then go brown what should i really do?

Just dye it brown. you only have to dye it red if you dyed your her blonde in the first place. the reason why they tell you to dye it red first is so your hair doesnt go green.

its something to do with the bleach and the amonia together but because you have no dye on your hair you can use the amonia straight on it.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't just go right to brown...If you are doing it yourself just buy the Ferria Hair dyes - they are great...

i have dark blonde hair and i went dark brown with no problems. i also did red. but the thing about red hair dye is that it fades faster than any other color, if u wanna go red and stay red u'll hafta dye it almost every other week.

I like to temporarily dye my hair. With products that wash out in 8-10 washes.
