I have dark brown hair with auburn highlights, hazel eyes, and fair skin. I have picked out five dresses from a magazine that I liked, here are the colors:

Blue

Pink

Purple

Red

Gold

Depends on the fit and style of the dress more than the color itself, really.

But I'd go with blue.

Gold sounds like too much with your skin tone and red is too loud.

Purple just doesn't sound right.

With dark brown hair and fair skin a red dress would look FABULOUS! especially if you teams it with neutral shades of makeup around your eyes and on your face but with a bright red lipstick. But you'd have to wear neutral eyes to get away with this. You should always stick to one or the other, bold eyes or bold lips- never both.

Anywho in terms of the dress definately gold or red. They would look stunning!

I have similar coloring, but I must say it really depends on the undertones of your skin coloring. I have fair skin, but it has pink undertones and I look good in pinks and golds. I look terrible in red (it makes my face look too pink). If you have olive undertones you can get away with the red without looking really pink in the face. It depends on what color of blue it is--dark blue would probably look good with fair skin, light blue may not look as good.
